Suffolk takes its food seriously. Whether it’s the home-grown oysters in the Butley Oysterage in Orford, the locally smoked Suffolk hams in Emmett’s delicatessen in Peasonhall, freshly caught fish straight from the boats, or the excellent Suffolk Food Hall in Ipswich, it’s impossible to fault the quality and variety of local foods. And with farm shops and farm markets dotted around the county, not to mention all the award winning restaurants and pubs boasting local menus, beers and wines, there are plenty of places to indulge in the real flavour of Suffolk.
