Friday night is 'Talent Night' as the Gypsy Arts Festival is playing
host to the National 'Travellers Got Talent' 2010 competition.
Following hotly contested 'heats' around the UK, the Festival is
delighted to be welcoming the UK's very best Gypsy, Roma and Traveller performers and artists to do their thing at the Museum of East Anglian Life. Is there a new Django Reinhardt in the mix? Perhaps the next Charlie Chaplin, David Essex, Michael Caine, Bob Hoskins is lurking in the wings. Or, the next 'Gogol Bordello??' Why not see them first in Suffolk...
Saturday night is 'Gypsy World Music Night' with Gypsy/Roma/ Traveller performers from as far a field as Perpignan and Russia. A delectable menu that boasts Rhumba Flamenco performer Cristofe Sors from Perpignan, Manouche Irish Gypsy Kerieva, famed for her Experimental/Roots, Gypsy Folk Russian U-based musician Mazaika, and finally, the fantastic New Zealand born Brixton Ritzy Gypsy Music DJand award-winning author, Garth Cartwright. It's going to be fun!
